When a friend asks if you can make her a cloak, so she can live out all her fantasy world dreams. Who I am to say no?
So after some discussion, we decided that this cloaked needed to be practical as well.From my last cloak project, I know that a heavy weight wool, is going to give warmth, however be heavy. So cloak closures are going to be needed.The best part about doing a custom piece of any clothing, is the range of options, and giving to make creative choices.
Like the lining, why would you pick one?
Lets have the hood lining be different, so you don't have to pick.

I modified the cloak pattern to include the fur trim. Which was done by taking away the hem, adding a facing. So i can insert the fur along the edges. The rest of the sewing was similar to the provided instructions.
I also added twill tape to the neck line, rather then leave the raw edges showing. This helps give a polished like, and use my branded twill tape.
The other thing I did different is to add Cloak Closures, rather then the string. The wool fabric I use is quite heavy, and if you use a string, its going to rip. Trust me, I know
